NPP stakes claim to form new EC of GHADC

Shillong, Apr 17 (UNI) Fifteen non-Congress and non-BJP newly elected members to the 29-member Garo Hills Autonomous District Council (GHADC) on Saturday met Governor Satya Pal Malik at the Raj Bhawan in Shillong to stake claim for the formation of a new executive committee (EC) of the autonomous council.
The 15 newly elected members of GHADC have formed the Garo Hills Democratic Coalition (GHDC) that comprised of 11 members from the National People’s Party, three independents and one Garo National Council (GNC).
The newly elected members were accompanied by Chief Minister Conrad Sangma, who is also national president of NPP and GNC president, Kalpana D. Sangma to Raj Bhavan.
