NPP sounds poll bugle in Arunachal

Itanagar, Jan 11 (UNI) The National People’s Party (NPP) sounded the poll bugle for the upcoming Assembly polls in Arunachal Pradesh by holding the State Executive Meeting of the party here on Friday which was attended by its national president Conrad Sangma.

Talking to reporters here, Mr Sangma said, “A very important agenda for us in this particular meeting is to plan out and strategies on how the NPP will work. This is to gear up our youths, women wing, our entire committee in different districts and blocks and in the state level to ensure that we start working more aggressively towards the coming Assembly polls.’’
The NPP president also said that in Arunachal Pradesh his party is intending to win as many seats as possible by fielding as many candidates it can.
“Not only in the Assembly elections, the NPP is very keen to contest all the Lok Sabha seats,’’ Mr Sangma stated.
The NPP chief also said that his party is very much focused on certain issues like education , infrastructural development, health and social welfare.
“Our intention is to contest all the Lok Sabha seats in the North Eastern region,” Mr Sangma stated.
NPP leaders from across the North-East attended the party’s executive meeting.
