Now foreigners too would be able to enjoy vegetables from Jharkhand says Minister

Ranchi, Aug 13 (UNI) People in abroad will now be able to enjoy the taste of vegetables of Jharkhand and as part of the initiative Agriculture Minister Badal flagged off trucks carrying vegetables to Kolkata Airport from where they would be sent abroad.
In the first phase, vegetables from Jharkhand would be sent to Dubai, Oman, Kuwait and Saudi Arabia. For the first time, the vegetables produced by the farmers of the state is being exported by the Bazaar Samiti and its benefit would reach to nearly 500 farmers of Ranchi and Jamshedpur.
Speaking on the occasion, Agriculture Minister Badal said that to strengthen the economic condition of the farmers of the state the government has decided to send the vegetables produced here to abroad. He said that the produce would be sent to foreign countries on right price and this would prove to be more beneficial for the farmers. He said the government wanted that the farmers should become self-reliant and stand on their feet and added that recently a company has planted drumsticks in Nagari on an area of more than six acres which would help the farmers to become self-reliant and also doubled their income.
