Novel protest for implementation of GO 124

Ananthapur, Oct 7 (UNI) A Novel protest was organised by the leaders of various political parties by begging for alms, demanding the government to implement the G O 124 and up upgrade the government general hospital here as 500 bed hospital.

The Left, YSRCP and Congress party leaders took out a rally from Clock Tower Circle to Saptagiri Circle here today, asking people for alms. CPM city Secretary S Nagendra Kumar, YSRCP coordinator Nadim Ahmad, APCC Spokesperson K V Ramana, CPM leader Rami Reddy, CPI(ML) New Democracy Krishna were among who participated at the rally.

Talking to media, the leader said that Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu and Health Minister K Srinivas assured to implement the GO 124, but now they were telling it was not possible. The leaders demanded that the government hospital here should be upgraded as 500 bed hospital. If the implementation of GO 124 is not possible, alternative should be made, the leaders urged government.

The leader warned the government of continuing the protest demonstrations, till the government hospital was upgraded as 500 bed hospital.

The leaders deplored that hundreds of people suffer from seasonal fevers in the drought-hit Ananthapur district but they can not afford corporate treatment. The government hospital here in such a pathetic state that two patients are forced to share one bed, they lamented.
