New Delhi, Sep 19 (UNI) Noted poet, journalist and vice-president of Hindi Academy, Vishnu Khare, died on Wednesday due to sudden heart failure at a government hospital here.
He was 78.
Khare was admitted to the GB Pant Hospital after he suffered from brain haemorrhage . Later, he went into coma and was shifted to the ICU .
His close friend told UNI that the doctors at the hospital had been making efforts to save Khare for several days but on Wednesday he breathed his last due to heart failure.
He is survived by his wife, two daughters and a son. His cremation will be held at the Nigam Bodh Ghat at 1100 hrs here on Thursday.
