Noted Kannada Playback Singer Shastri passes away

Bengaluru, Aug 30 (UNI) Noted Kannada Playback Singer and Music Composer L N Shastri passed away due to intenstine Cancer at his residence here today.
He was 46.
He had celebrated his birthday just yesterday.
Mr Shastri, who entered film field through 'Ajagajantra' in 1996 has sung more than 3000 songs and has credit of composing musics to about 25 films.
He had won 'Best Playback Singer' award from Karnataka Film chamber.
Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, who is currently on tour of his home district Mysuru, has condoled death of Mr Shastri.
"It was most unfortunate that we lost a veteran singer and composer at young age.
It was a great loss," Mr Siddaramaiah said in his condolence message.
Many film personalities and his well wishers are thronging at his residence to pay their last respect to the departed soul.
