NOTA stands second in Latur Rural beating Shiv Sena candidate

Latur, Oct 27 (UNI) In the recently concluded state assembly polls, more than 27,500 voters of Latur Rural constituency have opted for the None of the Above (NOTA) option, which secured the second slot in the segment.

According to Election Commission data, Congress candidate and son of late chief minister Vilasrao Deshmukh, Dhiraj Deshmukh has secured 1,35,006 votes against the NOTA.

Shiv Sena candidate Sachin Deshmukh stood third who managed only to get 13,524 votes.

Out of six constituencies in the district, Congress won two seat--Latur City and Latur Rural. NCP won two--Udigir and Ahmedpur and BJP won Ausa and Nilanga constituency.
