Beijing, Nov 9 (UNI) China has said it is not attending the Delhi Regional Security Dialogue on Afghanistan being hosted by New Delhi due to “scheduling issues”, and that it has informed India, joining close friend Pakistan in skipping the key regional gathering of security chiefs.
Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Wang Wenbin said on Tuesday: “It is not convenient for China to attend the meeting due to scheduling issues, and we have informed India”, when asked if China will attend the regional security dialogue on Afghanistan hosted by India.
The Security chiefs of Russia, Iran, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan are attending the 'Delhi Regional Security Dialogue on Afghanistan' being hosted by Indian National Security Advisor Ajit Doval on Wednesday.
