Not a single sample of school uniform or bag failed quality testing: Minister

Tapovan, Dec 9 (UNI) Himachal Pradesh Education Minister Suresh Bhardwaj said on Monday that not a single sample of School uniforms or bags failed during the quality testing exercise in Rs 57.89 Cr uniforms deal by the state Agency.
Giving a suo-moto statement on the media reports about the alleged School Uniform/Bag scam, Mr Bhardwaj turned the table on the Opposition Congress during absence of its members during their walkout from the state assembly.
Minister informed that during 2013-14, 2014-15 and 2015-16 , as many as 25,125 and four sample respectively failed the quality test by the authorised labs and last Virbhadra Government could not recover the penalty of Rs six crore from the relevant firms after failing the quality check by the labs as it already distributed the uniforms to the students.
