Not a part of "Bigg Boss', want to focus on bringing gold medal in National C'ship: Geeta Phogat

New Delhi, Jul 10 (UNI) Refuting report of her participating in 'Bigg Boss 11', India's first ever women gold medallist in wrestling at the Commonwealth Games, Geeta Phogat today said she will not participate in any reality show but focus on the upcoming national championship in November.
"I am avoiding any kind of reality show for now, as in November there is National Championship," Geeta told UNI.
"Less than one year is left for the Commonwealth Games and the Asian Games and hence I want my full focus and attention on these games only rather than being a part of any show,"she said.
The national level wrester said that she wants her comeback in the National Championship.
"I assure you that you will see me in a good form again.
In 2018 Commonwealth and Asian games will be there, so before that my target is winning a gold medal for the country in the National Championship,'she said.
It was reported that the contestant list of 'Bigg Boss 11', being hosted by Bollywood heartthrob Salman Khan includes popular faces including Dhinchak Pooja, Nia Sharma and Geeta Phogat .
CEO of Colors Raj Nayak recently shared a video on social networking site revealing that in the 11th season of Bigg Boss even commoners can participate.
Reports also say that Television and film actor Kabir Bedi, music director-cum-singer Raj Mahajan, Saath Nibhaana Saathiya fame Devoleena Bhattacharjee and Achint Kaur will be the part of the show.
Nia Sharma who became a household name after the popularity of her show 'Jamai Raja' and Dhinchak Pooja known for her hilarious You Tube songs will also be seen in the upcoming programme.
Geeta Phogat, who was present here at the launch of a campaign pressing for two-child policy in India and demanding a central law for restricting the number of children a couple can have, pledged to have two children in an endeavour to raise awareness for the policy.
On the eve of World Population Day, a citizens group, Taxpayers Association of Bharat (TAXAB), endorsed by eminent personalities like agronomist M S Swaminathan and actor Adil Hussain, launched the campaign that wants every state in the country to execute the two-child policy so that the resources and taxpayers' money can be utilised properly.
Speaking on the occasion, Geeta said,"I want the government to take serious action and pay attention to the society's growing overpopulation that is being explosive and make a law on it.
" On the question of female foeticide in the states of Haryana and Rajasthan, Geeta stoutly said,"Abortion should stop.
Fetal killing should be banned.
" "I want abortion to be stopped and regarding female foeticide there must be education and awareness among the women of the country.
If they become aware then they will themselves realise that whats wrong and right," she said.
