Srinagar, Dec 11 (UNI) Around 38.8 per cent voter turnout was recorded on Tuesday in the ninth and final phase of Panchayat elections held in Kashmir valley under unprecedented security arrangement in view of the strike called by separatists in poll bound areas.
The lowest turnout of 1.4 per cent was recorded in Pulwama while the highest 53.6 per cent votes were polled in Kupwara.
The Chief Electoral Officer J&K on Tuesday said that in the ninth and final Phase of Panchayat Polls held today, overall poll percentage of 38.8 per cent was witnessed in Kashmir Division.
