Srinagar, Nov 30 (UNI) Government hospitals in the Kashmir valley are providing 95 per cent healthcare facilities to people, principal Government Medical College (GMC), Srinagar ,Prof. (Dr.) Samia Rashid said on Friday evening.
According to an official spokesperson, advisor to Governor, K Vijay Kumar chaired a meeting to review the functioning of GMC, Srinagar and its associated hospitals and also took suggestions from HoDs for the betterment of healthcare facility in the Valley.
During the meeting, Dr Samia gave a detailed power point presentation about the functioning of the GMC and its associated hospitals. She informed the Advisor that 95 per cent of the health care facilities in the Valley are provided by the government run hospitals and it needs to be given the special attention.
