No soldier injured in encounter with militants in Bandipora woods: Army

Srinagar, June 17 (UNI) Refuting reports that six soldiers, including a Commanding Officer (CO), were injured in an encounter in the woods in north Kashmir district of Bandipor, the Army on Sunday said no such incident took place.
Defence Ministry spokesperson Colonel Rajesh Kalia told UNI that reports of CO and five soldiers of Rashtriya Rifles (RR) battalion having suffered injuries due to bullets and splinters is not correct.
Earlier, it was reported by a section of local media that six soldiers, including a CO, were injured in a gunfight with militants in Bandipor woods.
