No restrictions on workers movement: Additional DGP Harish Guptha

Kakinada, Apr 3 (UNI) Additional DGP Harish Kumar Guptha has clarified that there were no restrictions on the movement of agricultural workers, factory workers and aqua farmers and they could attend to their work without any hindrance.
Addressing a press conference at the district police office here on Friday, he said ,instructions were issued to the police personnel at all points to allow these workers and farmers to move freely to their work spots.
He said measures were already initiated to ensure that the ports functioned normally and the port workers numbering over 6,000 could attend to their duties freely without restrictions. Explaining the steps taken to implement the lockdown restrictions, he said, in both East and West Godavari districts as many as 50,000 cases were booked against those violating the rules and Rs 1.25 crore was collected towards penalty.
