No repoll at Pok Lok Kamrang, declares Returning Officer of South Sikkim

Gangtok ,Oct 22 (UNI) Returning Officer South Sikkim Ragul K has said that Pok Lok Kamrang assembly constituency does not require repoll after scrutinizing the poll documents of the assembly constituency today at District Administrative Centre at Namchi in South Sikkim.
The General Observer for by-elections in Pok Lok Kamrang, Alak Kumar Saharia, election agents, and all the concerned officers were present during the scrutiny.
Documents submitted by Micro Observers related to twenty two polling stations were scrutinized by General Observer and Returning Officer keeping with the guidelines of Election Commission of India.
Incidentally Chief Minister PS Tamang contested from the constituency against Moses Rai of Sikkim Democratic Front and Yadhu Rai from Sikkim Republican Party.
"There were no reports of any untoward incident disturbing Law & Order from any of the 22 polling station," the Returning Officer said and added, "polling process was smooth and went on peacefully."
