No relief for Geelani, JKLF chief others released on bail in Kashmir

Srinagar, Jan 1 (UNI) There was still no relief for chairman of the hardline Hurriyat Conference (HC) Syed Ali Shah Geelani and four other senior leaders of the amalgam while Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) chief Mohammad Yaseen Malik and eight others were released after a local court granted them bail in attempt to murder case.
However, official sources said that restrictions on Geelani and other Hurriyat leaders has been imposed to prevent any law and order problem in the valley.
A large number of security forces and state police personnel remained deployed outside the Hyderpora residence of Mr Geelani who was not being allowed to move out, a spokesperson of the Hurriyat Aiyaz Akbar told UNI.
