No power shortage in Telangana, CM tells Modi

No power shortage in Telangana, CM tells Modi

Mahabubnagar, Nov 27 (UNI) Condemning Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s remarks that people in Nizamabad are facing shortage of power and water, Telangana Rastra Samithi (TRS) President and Caretaker Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao (popularly known as KCR) on Tuesday said there is no power shortage in the state.

There is no power shortage in Telangana ... “ You (PM) should not tell lies as you are a responsible Prime Minister of the country, KCR said at the Praja Ashirwada Sabha held here.

Hitting out at Mr Modi, Mr Rao said the PM has made such false allegation during his election public meeting in Nizamabad a few hours ago, only for the sake of votes.

“ I won’t fear like TDP President and AP Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, the TRS Chief said, throwing a challenge to the Prime Minister that he would come back to Nizamabad from Mahabubnagar by helicopter and both will ask the people of Nizamabad over the shortage of power.

Coming down heavily at the evil designs of the Mahakutami to stifle the phenomengal growth of the state, the caretaker Chief Minister said the self-respect of the people was under threat yet again.

He asked the people, before casting vote, they should compare the utter neglect of Telangana in 57-years of rule by the Congress and TDP in undivided Andhra Pradesh and the rapid development the state had witnessed in just four-and-half years.

Recalling the 14-year-long struggle waged for freedom from the shackles of Andhra rulers and the sacrifices made by thousands of people, KCR said the TRS government had worked hard to take the state to the position it was now today.
Appealing to the people not to get confused in the election as it is an important one, he appealed them to defeat the candidates of TDP, an ally of Congress in People’s front, by not getting deposits.

The TRS government had initiated several welfare schemes with Rs 43,000 crore for the welfare of all sections of people, he claimed.
