Srinagar, Sep 17 (UNI) Senior CPI(M) leader Mohammad Yousuf Tarigami on Friday said that the recent orders by J&K administration ‘mandating vigilance clearance for government employees to get passport and termination of employees involved in anti-national activities’ is another arbitrary decision, which needs to be rolled back immediately.

“Denying anyone a passport based on a vigilance case cannot be a substitute for being found guilty in a court of law. One of the most sacred principles of the justice system is that a person is innocent until proven guilty. How can the government deny a passport to an employee on mere registration of a case by vigilance?” Mr Tarigami said on Friday.
