No limit on number of skilled Indian workers in UK from 2021: Minister

New Delhi, Jan 17 (UNI) UK Government officials recently held Migration Dialogue with their Indian counterparts on the latter's plans for a new single, skills-based immigration system after Brexit.
“Strengthening the UK-India migration partnership is a priority for us. India is the first country, outside of the EU, that the UK is consulting on its new migration White Paper. These talks are central to developing closer bilateral cooperation, with policies promoting skilled work and international students playing a major role in new UK proposals. We’ll also be continuing our discussions on handling Indian nationals who are in the UK illegally," said British High Commissioner Dominic Asquith at a briefing here yesterday.
The new proposals for the skills-based based immigration system, operating from 2021, will allow people from across the world to come to the UK for work or to study and to visit.
