No evidence to suggest that COVID-19 impacts fertility: Gynaecologist

Shimla, Dec 21(UNI) The current pandemic should not be a deterrent for couples seeking parenthood who can opt for IVF treatment, said Dr Pooja Mehta, Senior Consultant, Gynaecologist & IVF Specialist at Fortis Bloom IVF Centre, Fortis Hospital, Mohali while addressing media here on Monday.
She said that couples need not curtail their happiness out of scare of COVID infection.
Explaining the impact of Corona on fertility she said that currently, there was limited evidence regarding the link between fertility and coronavirus," she said.
