No emergency chopper service for 2nd day from Lahaul Spiti

Shimla, Jan 22 (UNI) People remained cut off from rest of the country in snowbound Lahaul Spiti district of Himachal Pradesh as no emergency helicopter could fly due to inclement weather condition. Two flights of chopper were cancelled today due to overcast, official spokesman said.
Talking to UNI, Kullu-based Government Officer said, for the second day, no helicopter flights could operate from Bhunter to Tandi, Diet and Satingri helipads due to rough weather. Similarly, two flights scheduled to these helipads yesterday also remained suspended.
Only 59 passengers were evacuated from tribal district on Friday and 52 were sent to Keylong. District Administration is yet to decide about more flights to operate tomorrow, he said.
