No eligible voter should be left out during SIR: Jharkhand CEO roll

Ranchi, Dec 12 (UNI) Jharkhand Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) K. Ravi Kumar has urged all eligible voters, especially those who migrated from other states, to ensure their names are correctly listed during the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of the electoral roll.
He stated that voters whose names were not included in Jharkhand’s electoral roll during the previous intensive revision can locate their details in their former state's voter list and contact their respective Booth Level Officer (BLO) for assistance. Voters may also call the helpline number 1950 to search for their own or their family members’ names.
Kumar informed that the previous revision lists are available in searchable format on the official websites of the Election Commission of India and the CEO, Jharkhand.

Rohini decries injustice to NEET rape-murder victim, questions safety of girls in Bihar

Patna, Jan 20 (UNI) Rohini Acharya, daughter of RJD supremo Lalu Prasad, today raised the question of safety of girls in Bihar, saying a NEET student who was raped and murdered in a Patna-based hostel a few days back had slim chance of getting justice due to the "indifferent attitude" of the Nitish Kumar government and the "suppressive nature of investigation" of the case by police.
