No Covid patient in Odisha will be deprived of  treatment due to money: Naveen

Bhubaneswar, Aug 15 (UNI) Chief minister Naveen Patnaik today said no Covid patient in Odisha will be deprived of treatment due to money and expressed deep gratitude to the frontline warriors for their relentless fight against Covid 19.
Unfurling the tricolour at a state level celebration of 74th Independence Day here in the presence of Covid warriors, Mr.Patnaik paid tributes to the frontline warriors who had sacrificed their lives during the last five months.
He also paid tributes to the martyrs who had sacrificed their lives for the security and integrity of the nation and those in the freedom movement.
Corona, Mr.Patnaik said, has emerged as the biggest major crisis not only for India but also for the whole world deeply affecting the education,health,economy, tourism, transport and also on society.
The chief minister said crores of people have lost their livelihood due to corona pandemic which would be under control only with the arrival of the vaccines but prior to that we have to work hard to bravely face the loss of economy caused due to the virus.
Odisha, he said, had not only reported the lowest death rate in coronavirus in the country but also a good recovery rate adding that all these have been possible due to the dedicated service of the covid warriors.
The chief minister said the government has taken all initiatives to keep the economic activities on by undertaking several employment generation works.
The state government,he said, had received investment proposals to the tune of Rs.12,000 crore during the covid pandemic ,almost 18 per cent of the total investment proposal in the country, leaving behind Maharashtra to become a number one investment state in the country.
