No compromise on quality of skill training, MD JKSDM

Srinagar, Feb 22 (UNI) To ascertain the quality of the training being delivered at its registered training centres, J&K Skill Development Mission (JKSDM) has undertaken a week-long inspection drive across the valley which commenced from February 18, 2019, a SDM spokesman said here on Friday afternoon.
The Mission has empanelled 82 centres for implementing the state component trainings under Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY) which is a centrally sponsored scheme of Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE) Government of India (GoI) aimed to enable youth to pursue industry relevant skill training that will help them in securing a better livelihood.
JKSDM has empanelled 82 training centres under PMKVY and 54 centers are currently functional with 28 and 26 centres in Kashmir and Jammu divisions respectively.
