NMC president calls for bringing Andrology to the forefront of Medical Science

Bhubaneswar, Aug 10 (UNI) Andrology is an important component of the healthcare system, yet it continues to have a limited presence in India’s health education framework, National Medical Commission President Dr. Vijay Oza said today.
“We are introducing several reforms in medical education to ensure andrology receives greater emphasis, including an enhanced scope, specialized qualifications, and focused training,” Dr. Oza said while addressing the Continuing Medical Education (CME) programme AndroXcell 2025.
The one-day workshop aimed to present the latest advancements, clinical insights, and best practices in andrology to healthcare professionals, with a focus on male sexual dysfunction and male infertility.

OPID Court sentences Odisha drug peddler to 10 years’ rigorous imprisonment

Bhubaneswar, Jan 22 (UNI) The OPID Court-cum-Special Judge, Balasore, on Thursday convicted a drug peddler and sentenced him to 10 years of Rigorous Imprisonment (RI) along with a fine of Rs.1 lakh for trafficking brown sugar.
The court further ordered that in default of payment of the fine, the convict would undergo an additional one year of RI.

Train-truck collision at railway crossing in Jharkhand's Deoghar
