Abu Dhabi, Oct 24 (UNI) Kolkata Knight Riders batsman Nitish Rana on Saturday paid special tribute to his father-in-law Surinder Marwah, who passed away on Friday.
Rana, who was promoted up the order to open the innings with Shubman Gill, smashed Anrich Nortje for a boundary on the last ball of 13th over to bring up his 10th IPL fifty off just 35 deliveries.
Soon after reaching his fifty, Rana walked down the crease to produce a heartwarming piece of gesture. He opened his helmet and instead of raising his bat, raised a specially designed KKR t-shirt, with his father-in-law's name (Surinder) inscribed on the back.
