Nitish Kumar expanding base in UP before Assy polls

Lucknow, Jul 29 (UNI) With an eye to 2017 Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections, Bihar Chief Minister and Janata Dal (United) President Nitish Kumar is now expanding his area of campaign and also the social base in UP.
In the last four months, Mr Kumar has concentrated his campaign in east UP areas with dominant population of his fellow caste, the OBCs Kurmi. Now, he plans to expand to Central UP and also focus on the Bahujan Samaj to rope in the Dalits.
The Bihar Chief Minister is arriving in UP on August 6 to address a rally called 'divisional convention' of the party in Ghatampur town of Kanpur Nagar district.
