Patna, Feb 23 (UNI) Outlining the importance of Primary Agricultural Credit Society (PACS), Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar today assured to extend all possible assistance to the cooperatives and said that process for appointing 25 women assistant manager in cooperative banks was under process.
Addressing a seminar of cooperative, Mr Kumar said here that the number of PACS has gone up to one crore 24 lakh in which strength of women has increased from 2 lakh to 36 lakh.
The self-help group was also getting associated with the PACS, Mr Kumar said adding that in order to revive Bihar state co-operative marketing union (BISCOMAUN) PACS was constituted and its elections were held after he came to power.
