Patna, June 1 (UNI) Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar on Thursday directed the authorities to prepare a strategic work plan to boost tourism and asked them to provide tourism related information in both Hindi and English languages to the tourists.
Reviewing the progress of the tourism department here, Kumar said that being a historic and ancient place, Bihar has immense tourism potential. He directed the authorities to make arrangements for providing detailed information to the tourists in both Hindi and English languages for their convenience.
The Chief Minister said that his government has developed the religious spots of all religions so that the visiting devotees do not face any problem and can enjoy hassle free tour to the religious places. He said that the special emphasis has been given to develop Gaya which is the famous religious spot. He further said that in view of the increasing number of tourists inflow, his government was also concentrating on Eco tourism.Tourism secretary Abhay Kumar Singh, through his PowerPoint presentation, apprised the chief minister about the progress of the department and various activities take up at different places including Gaya, Sitamarhi, Rajgir, Banka, Buxar, Patna City Madhubani and others.UNI RS SSP
