Nitish for stern action against those indulged in misuse of ground water

Patna, Jan 27 (UNI) Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar today directed the officials concerned to take stern action against those indulged in misuse of ground water for Reverse Osmosis (RO) process.
Mr Kumar, while taking suggestions from some select persons under 'Lok Samvad' programme organised at his official residence here, directed the officials concerned to take stern action against those involved in misuse of ground water for RO process. The department concerned should also keep vigil on RO functioning and take appropriate action, he stated.
"Under 'Jal Jeevan Hariyali' mission launched by the state government, seven of eleven points were related to conservation of water", Chief Minister said adding that water used in towns could be reused for irrigation purpose after its recycling through severage treatment plant. Under no circumstances, misuse of ground water could be tolerated, he warned.
