Nitish directs to begin distribution of Ration cards

Patna, May 29 (UNI) Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar today directed to begin distribution of Ration Cards among the beneficiaries, so that they could get benefits of various schemes without
any difficulties.
Mr Kumar, during a review meeting with senior officials on situation arising out of Corona pandemic, said that all attempts should be made to begin distribution of fresh Ration Cards among the
beneficiaries. Printing of approved Ration cards should be started soon so that those having no ration cards as yet, could get it, he added.
Chief Minister said that most of the migrants had been brought back while those still left out would also be brought back. Coordination with states and Railways should be maintained for the purpose, he added.
Mr Kumar said that those bringing back should not be lodged with migrants already living in quarantine centres. New migrants should be lodged in separate quarantine centres especially prepared for them, he added.
Chief Minister said that migrants had suffered much difficulties outside the state as companies where they were working, did not care of them. Jobs should be provided to them, he added.
Mr Kumar said that a task force headed by Development Commissioner had been constituted to take steps for providing jobs to migrants. District Magistrates should remain in contact with Development Commissioner for providing jobs to migrants in accordance with their skills, he added.
