Nitish directs JD (U) legislators to monitor implementation of schemes

Patna, Nov 22 (UNI) Chief Minister and JD (U) president Nitish Kumar today directed party legislators to monitor implementation of government schemes meant for common people so that these schemes were being executed properly.



Addressing JD (U) legislature party meeting convened in view of the commencement of winter session of the state legislature, Mr Kumar said that the party legislators should visit their respective areas extensively and should monitor implementation of government schemes.

He said that if they detected any irregularity in the implementation of the schemes, they should immediately report it to higher authorities and other representatives of the government.



“Whatever work is being done, they should keep a vigil on it,” Mr Kumar remarked while addressing the party legislators.

JD (U) leader Lakshmikant Mandal who was elected to Bihar Assembly from Nathnagar assembly constituency in the last by-poll was felicitated in the meeting.



Chief Minister also directed party legislators to tell people about the ill effects of climate change in their respective areas. The party lawmakers should also tell people how the state government had launched ‘Jal-Jeevan-Hariyali’ campaign to tackle the adverse impacts of climate change in mission mode, he said adding that a sum of Rs 24,000 crore would be spent on implementation of the campaign.



Chief Minister said the government after attaining the target of supplying electricity to each household was now concentrating on tapping of solar energy potential in the state. He also directed his party legislators to take feedback from the people about the implementation of the schemes covered the government`s 7-point resolve so that these schemes could be fine-tuned further.
