Nitish asks policemen to check crimes at any cost in Bihar

Patna, Nov 28 (UNI) Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Saturday directed the police administration to check crimes in the state at any cost and those found lenient in dealing with criminals would have to face stringent action.
Mr Kumar, in his first high level review meeting on law and order after recently held Bihar Assembly Elections, said that checking crimes in the state was on top priority of the state government. Every effort should be made at all levels in police administration to deal sternly with criminal elements and a sense of fear must prevail among them, he added.
Chief Minister said that night patrolling should be conducted with all alertness and senior officials should monitor to make such patrolling effective. Senior officials should take initiative and conduct patrolling in night to check crimes in the state, he added.
