New Delhi, Feb 12 (UNI) Around Nine people died on Tuesday morning, after a fire broke out at a hotel in Central Delhi's Karol Bagh area.
According to fire department, a call was received at 0435 hours regarding a fire at Arpit Palace hotel while 20 fire tenders were pushed into service.The blaze was put to a stop around 0830 hours while the rescue operation by the police was underway.
The victims also include a child and a woman, senior fire officials told UNI.
It is a three story building which is still under cooldown and is being searched.
As per locals, massive flames were seen on top of the building while some people were jumping out from the window to save their lives.
However, the cause of fire is yet to be ascertained.
