Kolkata, Sep 28 (UNI) The 'Nightingale' of Bollywood and Bharat Ratna recipient Lata Mangeshkar , whose matchless voice has entertained generations, has turned 88 today Prime Minister Narendra Modi , West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, union ministers and several B-town celebrities took to micro-blogging platform Twitter to wish her on the special day. Mr Modi in his tweet said, “ Birthday wishes to respected @mangeshkarlata Didi. Her melodious voice is admired by crores of Indians. I pray for her long & healthy life.” “Wishing @mangeshkarlata ji a very Happy Birthday. To many more years of happiness, health and music,” Ms Banerjee tweeted. Union Minister Dr Harsh Vardhan in his tweet said, “Heartiest wishes to the lady with most melodious voice we've ever known, @mangeshkarlata ji, on her Birthday. The melody queen said, "Should I tell you the truth? I don't feel my age at all. I still feel young. I've never been weighed down by my troubles. Everyone has her share of problems in life. Even when I was young and struggling, and I was happy hopping from studio to studio bumping into other strugglers like Kishoreda and Mukesh bhaiyya.” "Those were fun times even when I had to go hungry for the entire day.
