Srinagar, Nov 24 (UNI) People continued to shiver as the night temperature remained below freezing point at majority of the places in Kashmir valley, where the mercury is expected to dip further due to open sky and dry weather during the next 48 hours.
Border town of Leh was the coldest place in the region at minus 8.8 degree followed by Kargil, where the mercury dipped and settled at minus 7.6 degree.
A Met department spokesperson told UNI that weather will remain dry during the next 48 hours in Kashmir valley, which could result in further dip in the night temperature.
