Mysore, Mar 12 (UNI) City-based National Institute of Engineering (NIE) has opened the NIE-Siemens Technical Centre in collaboration with German major Siemens at their campus.
The centre of excellence aims to train students and working professionals with the latest and futuristic industry-relevant skills. The initiative will improve employability and assist in better placements for students.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr N R Narayana Murthy, Director, NIE Management Committee, and Infosys co-founder, said, “Automation is the future for engineers, not just Mechanical but all other streams. The colleges in the country must prepare our students for the future.
