NIB seizes narcotic substance in Tamil Nadu; four held

Madurai, Oct 3 (UNI) The sleuths of Narcotics Intelligence Bureau (NIB) seized 106 kilogram of ganja and arrested four persons in this connection from Kerala at Nagamalai Pudukottai, near here on Wednesday.
Police said that acting on a specific intelligence input about a huge consignment of ganja that was being transported to Kerala from Andhra Pradesh, the NIB sleuths intercepted a car at Nagamalai Pudukottai and found the narcotic substance while searching the vehicle.
Four occupants of the car, identified as A Arun (24), A Shamnas (22), M Vishal (26) and S Ashwin (23) were arrested and was subsequently remanded into judicial custody.
Preliminary investigations revealed that the youths procured ganja from unidentified narcotic peddlers in Andhra Pradesh and were transporting it to Kerala for retail sale.
