NIA files chargesheet  in Falah-i-Insaniyat Foundation (FIF) case

New Delhi, Mar 22 (UNI) The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Friday filed a chargesheet against three accused in case related to Falah-i-Insaniyat Foundation (FIF) which was involved in creating sleeper cells and logistic base in Delhi and Haryana for dreaded terrorist Hafiz Sayeed who is based in Pakistan.

According to NIA, the accused Mohammad Salman, a native of Delhi, Mohammad Salim alias Mama, a resident of Nagaur in Rajasthan and Mohammad Kamran , a Pakistani national who is absconding were booked under the Sections 120 B IPC and Sections 17, 20 & 21 of Unlawful Activity (Prevention) Act.

The Central probe agency investigation has established that Chief of Falah-i-Insaniyat Foundation (FIF) Hafiz Mohammad Saeed along with deputy namely Shahid Mahmood hatched a conspiracy in the year 2012 on wards to create sleeper cells and logistic base in Delhi and Haryana under the garb of religious work like construction of mosque, madrasa for religious education, financial assistance for marriage of poor Muslim girls.

In pursuance of this conspiracy, Shahid Mahmood tasked his associate namely Mohammad Kamran, a Pakistani national based at Dubai, for re-routing funds from Pakistan to Dubai and further to India through hawala channels.

Md. Kamran was further tasked to identify religious minded Indian Muslims who could be given this fund in the name of construction of mosque, education in Madrasa, marriage of Muslims girls, medical assistance to create its bases.

“During this preparatory work, the target persons were intended to be used for creating sleeper cells and hideouts. Accordingly, Mohammad Kamran identified a few Indians in Dubai including one Mohammad Salman of New Delhi for this purpose. He started transferring large amount of funds through illegal hawala in the name of religious works mentioned above”, the probe agency said.

The construction of mosque Khulfa-e-Rashideen in Uttawar in Palwal district of Haryana and for marriage of Muslims girls. Mohammad Salman had received huge funds from Mohammad Kamran from Dubai in this connection, the NIA added.

Further Investigation is continuing against the accused persons under Sections 173(8) of CrPC including Hafiz Mohammad Saeed, Shahid Mehmood, Mohammad Arif Gulambashir Dharampuria and Mohd Hussain Molani, the probing agency further said.
