NIA Court sentences Bangladeshi national 6 years in jail in Shamsherganj FICN case

New Delhi, Feb 13 (UNI) The Special National Investigation Agency (NIA) court in Kolkata on Wednesday convicted and sentenced a Banladeshi national Mijan SK for six years in jail and with fined of Rs 5,000 in a Fake Indian Currency Notes (FICN) case, an official release said here on Thursday.
This case was related to the seizure of Rs 8,03,000 in the denomination of Rs 2000 and 500 from the possession of Rahim Sk and Mijan Sk, both from Bangladesh by the West Bengal Police on August 28, 2018 and a case was registered at Shamsherganj PS under sections of 489B and 489C of IPC in this matter. The duo was arrested by the local police.
NIA took over the case on September 25, 2018 and after completion of investigation, NIA filed charge sheet against two accused under sections of 120B, 489B,489C of IPC, Section 14 Foreigners Act.
