New Delhi, Sep 19 (UNI) The National Investigation Agency on Tuesday arrested Nashidul Hamzafaran, an accused in ISIS Kasaragod case after he was deported from Kabul to India by Afghanistan authorities.
According to NIA, 26 year old Nashidul is a resident of Wayanad district in Kerala, was deported to New Delhi from Kabul where he was detained by Afghan Security Agencies last year for illegally entering the country to join his associates in proscribed terrorist organisation Islamic State of Iraq and Syria(ISIS) or Daish.
“The case relates to the criminal conspiracy hatched by the accused persons from Kasaragod district of Kerala and their associates since Ramadan in 2015 with the intention of joining and furthering the objectives of ISIS. Pursuant to the conspiracy, 14 accused persons from Kasaragod district had left India or their work places in Middle-East between mid-May and early-July, 2016 before travelling to Afghanistan, where they joined the said proscribed organsation”, the central probe agency said in a statement.
