Landslides kill 12 in Nepal

Kathmandu, Aug 6 (UNI) At least 12 people killed, and six others injured on Tuesday in landslides triggered by incessant rains in Nepal, bringing the death toll to 165 since the monsoon season started in early June in the Himalayan country, media reports said.
Eight people from two families died after their houses were swept away by landslides in Badigad Rural Municipality of Baglung district, and four others rescued sustained serious injuries.
"Six of the eight deceased are children," Chitrangat Baral, assistant chief district officer, told local media.
