US congressmen to visit Taipei from August 14-15

Washington, Aug 14 (UNI) A delegation of US congressmen will arrive in Taiwan on Sunday with a two-day visit to discuss a wide variety of issues, American Institute in Taiwan, the de-facto US embassy on the island, said.
The delegation will be headed by US Senator Edward J. Markey, the chairman of the Senate Environment Subcommittee on Clean Air, Climate and Nuclear Safety, and the Senate Subcommittee On East Asia, The Pacific, and International Cybersecurity Policy.
"Senator Ed Markey (D-MA), Representative John Garamendi (D-CA), Representative Alan Lowenthal (D-CA), Representative Don Beyer (D-VA), and Representative Aumua Amata Coleman Radewagen (R-AS) will visit Taiwan from August 14-15, 2022, as part of a larger visit to the Indo-Pacific region," the institute said on the website.
