UAE offers Eurasian Economic Union to create free trade zone: Russian Industry Minister

Abu Dhabi, Nov 18 (UNI/Sputnik) The United Arab Emirates offered the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) to create a free trade zone, and the issue was discussed at the UAE-Russia intergovernmental commission, Russian Industry and Trade Minister Denis Manturov said on Thursday.
"The issue was discussed, and we are members of the Eurasian Economic Commission [EEC, the regulatory body of the EAEU], on the free trade zone between the Emirates and the EAEU," Manturov told reporters, adding that the UAE applied to the EEC for a free trade zone.
Manturov further said, The United Arab Emirates wants to purchase many Russia-made Aurus luxury cars and the issue is being discussed.
