Troika Plus: Pakistan seeks urgent humanitarian help for Afghanistan

Islamabad, Nov 11 (UNI) The US, China, Russia and Pakistan have a key role to play in bringing peace and stability in Afghanistan, said Pakistan Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi on Thursday, while urging the international community to provide urgent humanitarian assistance to the Afghans.
Addressing the Troika Plus meeting in Islamabad, Qureshi said, “No one wishes to see a relapse into civil war; no one wants an economic collapse that will spur instability; everyone wants terrorist elements that are operating inside Afghanistan to be tackled effectively. And we all want to prevent a new refugee crisis."
He emphasised that the group of four nations has a greater significance and has an important role to play in Afghanistan situation.
