Russian forces destroy 50 Ukrainian drones overnight

Moscow, Nov 9 (UNI) Russia's air defense systems on duty shot down 50 Ukrainian drones during the past night, the Russian Defense Ministry said on Saturday.
"During the past night, an attempt by the Kiev regime to carry out a terrorist attack using aircraft-type UAVs [unmanned aerial vehicles] against targets on the territory of the Russian Federation was thwarted. Air defense systems on duty destroyed 50 Ukrainian UAVs," the ministry said in a statement.
In total, 28 drones were shot down over the Bryansk Region, 12 over the Kursk Region and four over the Novgorod Region. Two drones each were destroyed over Smolensk and Tula regions, with one each downed over Oryol and Tver regions, the statement said.
