Russia's Antiterrorism Committee says 60 militants killed in north Caucasus since 2019

Moscow, Oct 13 (Sputnik) Russia's National Antiterrorism Committee (NAC) said on Tuesday that 60 militants had been killed and 19 terrorist attacks had been prevented in the North Caucasus since 2019.
Earlier in the day, NAC held a meeting in Moscow chaired by the head of Russia's Federal Security Service (FSB), Alexander Bortnikov. The participants discussed the implementation of a comprehensive plan for countering the ideology of terrorism in the North Caucasian Federal District.
"Bortnikov informed the participants that since the beginning of 2019, 36 terrorist crimes had been prevented in the North Caucasus, including 19 terrorist attacks, and 60 militants had been killed," the statement said.
