Moscow, Aug 9 (UNI) Ukraine has lost up to 4,240 personnel in the area of operations of Russia's Yug (South) group of forces in the past week, the Russian Defence Ministry claimed on Friday.

"The Ukrainian armed forces lost up to 4,240 service people, one tank, six armoured combat vehicles, 47 vehicles, a Croatia-made RAK-SA-12 MLRS launcher, and 47 field artillery guns, of which 18 howitzers and 155 mm self-propelled artillery units were manufactured by NATO countries," the ministry said, adding that the Russian troops also repelled seven Ukrainian counterattacks.
