Trump unlikely to end Ukrainian crisis in 1 day despite claims

Washington, Nov 6 (UNI) Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump, who is projected to take over as US president in January after defeating his Democratic rival Kamala Harris, is unlikely to end the conflict in Ukraine within 24 hours despite repeatedly making the claim while on the campaign trail, the leader of the Turkish Innovation Party, Ozturk Yilmaz, told RIA Novosti on Wednesday.
"Trump has repeatedly said that he can resolve the conflict in one day. But is it realistic? I doubt it … At the end of the day, he has limited power over this conflict. He can’t resolve the conflict, but he can bring people to talk. Talking is easier than resolving the conflict," the centrist Turkish politician said.
Some of the options on the table are defunding Ukraine while persuading Russia to sit down at the negotiating table. The combination of pressure on Ukraine and engagement with Russia could create an atmosphere for talks, Yilmaz suggested.
