US' COVID-19 Summit at UN to attract over 100 countries - White House

Washington, Sep 22 (Sputnik) The US-hosted virtual COVID-19 summit on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly is expected to bring together more than 100 countries and 100 non-state organizations on Wednesday, the White House said.
"It's a virtual summit that will last for almost four hours with countries from all over the world. And we have over 100 countries, over 100 organizations from across international institutions, the private sector, and non-governmental organizations," a senior Administration official said.
At least six heads of state will be among the speakers, along with the UN Secretary-General and the World Health Organization Director-General, the official said.
